Welcome to On Scene 2009
On behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, I am pleased to welcome all participating frontline personnel to On Scene 2009.
Building on the success of last year's inaugural event, On Scene 2009 is a wonderful opportunity for Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue and Emergency Medical Service delegates to train together, enhance skills, and build fellowship to better serve our communities.
Maintaining safe and secure communities for Saskatchewan residents and families is as much of a challenge now as it has ever been. Your actions to help protect the safety of individuals in the face of danger are a true measure of leadership, commitment and courage. Thank you for your continuous efforts.

On behalf of my colleagues on City Council and the citizens of Regina, I would like to welcome the delegates to the second multi-agency training event called On Scene 2009. This annual conference is dedicated for all frontline protective services personnel such as: Law Enforcement,Fire/Rescue and Emergency Medical Services in Regina. This is to help enhance their current skills, learn new ones, and build strong foundations with other first responders. With our friendly people, exciting attractions and hospitable accommodations, Regina will do an outstanding job hosting this one-of-a-kind conference dedicated to the Frontline of Protective Services. I commend the organizing committee for their dedication and commitment to ensuring this annual conference will be the world standard for training of frontline personnel.

On behalf of the RCMP in Saskatchewan, we welcome all delegates, speakers and other guests to ON SCENE 2009. We are proud to support this unique multi-agency training event which will provide delegates with an opportunity to enhance their skills, and to learn about emerging trends and issues regarding the provision of emergency services. This opportunity to train side by side with emergency service providers from other disciplines will also allow delegates to gain a better understanding of each other’s roles, and to focus on how we can improve our effectiveness as we work together on a day to day basis.

On behalf of RCMP “F” Division, we welcome all speakers, guests, and participants. We support worthwhile multi-agency initiatives such as On Scene which helps to improve overall public safety. By working alongside frontline emergency services personnel, we will learn and grow together. Through professional development opportunities such as the valuable knowledge-based sessions offered at On Scene, our member will be able to enhance their skills and learn more about rising trends and issues regarding law enforcement and public safety. Often, RCMP members are the first on the scene when dealing with any multitude of situations. Anything we can do to support our front-line members by giving them the resources they need will help with our goal of working towards safe homes and safe communities.

Over the course of five days you will enjoy a diverse group of speakers, an exciting vendor tradeshow, and an excellent networking opportunity with colleagues from Emergency Medical services, Fire/Rescue and Law Enforcement.
Last year was a great success and this year will be even better. Many hours of preparation, organization, support and sponsorship is going into On Scene 2009 and an exciting line up of speakers will make for a superb program. This is your chance to hear from experts in the field, see first hand new equipment, and witness inter-agency collaboration.

Welcome to the second annual On Scene Conference where front line responders come together to learn from each other. We recognize that strong working relationship between fire/rescue, law enforcement and Emergency Medical Services is critical to meeting customer expectations.
